Privacy Policy

You provide:

• Account info: email and password (stored hashed by our auth provider); optional username, display name, bio, avatar.
• User Content: swatch photos, reference images, designs, patterns, fabric-stash details, collections, and any text you enter.
• Payment info: if you buy or sell, payment and payout details are collected and processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
• Communications: messages you send us (e.g., support, takedown notices).

Collected automatically:

• Usage and device data: pages viewed, actions taken, approximate location from IP, browser/device type, and similar analytics and log data.
• Cookies/local storage: for sessions, preferences, and guest editor drafts.

• To provide and operate the Service (accounts, the editor, search, the library, the marketplace, stash tracking).
• To process transactions and creator payouts.
• To enable visual and keyword search of swatches (including generating image embeddings — see processors below).
• To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms.
• To communicate with you (transactional emails such as verification, password reset, receipts, and legal notices).
• To improve the Service and understand usage.

We may also share information: with other users according to your visibility settings (e.g., public profiles, public swatches/patterns); to comply with law or valid legal process; to enforce our Terms or protect rights and safety; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale. We do not sell your personal information.

Depending on where you live (e.g., California under CCPA/CPRA, or the EU/UK under GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can edit profile data in settings, and request deletion or a data export there. To make any other request, contact legal@slashdap.com. We will respond as required by applicable law.

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We delete or de-identify it when no longer needed.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (including row-level access controls and encryption in transit) to protect information. No method is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact legal@slashdap.com and we will delete it.

We operate in the United States; if you use the Service from elsewhere, you understand your information will be processed in the U.S.

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be communicated (e.g., by email or in-app), and the effective date will be updated.
